APC UPS model SFPCBE1002 provides the PowerChute software for configuring automatic shutdown of the UPS

APC UPS model SFPCBE1002 provides the PowerChute software for configuring automatic shutdown of the UPS. Here are the steps to set up automatic shutdown for the UPS:

1. Make sure the UPS is properly connected and the PowerChute software is installed.

2. Open the PowerChute software. In the Windows operating system, you can find the PowerChute shortcut in the Start menu and click to open it.

3. In the PowerChute software interface, select the "Configuration" or "Settings" option.

4. In the configuration or settings menu, locate the option for "Automatic Shutdown" or "Automatic Shutdown Settings." Click to enter the automatic shutdown setup page.

5. In the automatic shutdown setup page, you can configure the conditions and actions for triggering the automatic shutdown. Typically, you can set the following parameters:

   - Shutdown delay time: Set the delay time between the trigger of the shutdown signal and the actual shutdown. Set an appropriate delay time to allow running applications enough time to save data and shut down.

   - Battery charge level trigger: Set the battery charge level at which the automatic shutdown should be triggered.

   - Runtime trigger: Set the minimum remaining UPS runtime in minutes that should trigger the automatic shutdown.

   - Shutdown behavior: Set the action to be performed by the UPS after the shutdown is triggered, such as an immediate shutdown or sending a shutdown signal to connected devices.

6. Configure the settings according to your requirements and save the changes.

Once the settings are configured, when the conditions for automatic shutdown are met, the PowerChute software will send a shutdown signal to the UPS and execute the predefined shutdown behavior. This ensures that the system can safely shut down and protect data in the event of a power failure or insufficient UPS battery charge.

Please note that the specific steps for configuration may vary depending on the version of PowerChute software and the operating system. The provided steps offer general guidance, and you can adapt them based on your specific situation.
